The Illinois Road and Transportation Builders Association and the American Council of Engineering Companies have come together to produce a model guide for sustainable transportation design and construction. Titled Illinois Livable and Sustainable Transportation (or I-LAST), the guide illustrates best practices and provides a rating guide similar to LEED that public agencies can employ to meet their green-practice transportation goals.
