Bio: Bob O'Neill is the current president of the Grant Park Conservancy and Grant Park Advisory Council, organizations that leverage funding and ideas from both the public and private sectors for the future improvement and development of Grant Park, as well as the promotion of the park as a green, lively civic space. Bob has worked on many urban planning projects with an emphasis on landscaping,green design, pedestrian and bike-friendly design and architecture. Bob has worked with the Chicago Park District and Lollapalooza to completely reforest Grant Park, Chicago's front yard as well as improve its overall landscaping. Bob has a 30-year history of advocating and getting thousands of trees planted in the City of Chicago by working with the City’s Department of Transportation’s GreenStreets Program, the Chicago Park District, Bureau of Forestry and the Mayor’s Office. Bob has been a repeat panelist on WTTW-TV's "Chicago Tonight" and has done extensive public outreach for public input into Grant Park and has worked with many local newspapers and TV stations such as the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times, Chicago Journal, Skyline, and more to build awareness of the importance of a healthy, urban forest. Bob is an attorney with an MBA in finance.
