About the Student Representatives Council
The SRC is made up of one elected Student Representative from each APA-recognized Planning Student Organization (PSO), an elected representative from each of the six APA regions, the Immediate Past Chair, and the Chair. The SRC provides a means to have students' interests represented within APA and promote student participation in the organization.
Leadership Opportunities
SRC Chair
This year, there are three candidates running for APA Student Representatives Council (SRC) Chair—an exciting and challenging opportunity to exercise leadership and work with other APA leaders and prominent members of the planning community.
Whether a candidate from your school appears on the ballot or not, it is important for your Student Representative to vote. Each candidate submitted a summary of their leadership experience, volunteer activities, and their thoughts about APA and student representation. Please read the candidate statements and let your Student Representative know which of the candidates you believe could best represent APA Student Members in this highly visible, national position.

SRC Regional Representatives
Being an SRC Regional Representative is rewarding — and FUN! You’ll get to know other planning students from around the country, participate in APA Leadership activities twice a year, and further develop your skills as a leader and volunteer.
In return (there's always a flip side), you should realize how important your position is in keeping APA tuned in to the needs of its Student Members as well as planning students in general.
Regional Representatives are chosen by students from their regions during the APA SRC Annual Meeting and Exchange at each APA National Planning Conference.
