APA Announces New Editor for The New Planner

Author and planner Natalie Macris is the new editor of APA's student e-publication, The New Planner. Macris's writing and editing expertise, along with her 20 years of planning experience, will lend a new vibrancy to this publication for students. The much-anticipated next issue will be published later in Spring 2007.


About the Editor

Natalie Macris is an urban and environmental planning consultant who specializes in writing and editing. Her 20 years of experience include work in both the public and private sectors. She has prepared many planning documents, including plans, manuals, and reports on a wide range of urban and environmental planning issues. She holds a master's degree in city planning from the University of California at Berkeley.

She has written and edited planning-related books and other publications for general audiences. Macris is the author of two books published by the American Planning Association: Planning in Plain English: Writing Tips for Urban and Environmental Planners (2000) and A Career Worth Planning: Starting Out and Moving Ahead in the Planning Profession (with Warren W. Jones; 2000).
