The International Making Cities Livable (IMCL) Conference is now accepting applications for its 2017 Design Awards Competition. Design projects related to Public Places for Community, Democratic Dialogue, Health and Equity are actively sought. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2017.
Both built projects and proposed projects are eligible but they must be real projects commissioned with the intention to build. There are no restrictions as to where these projects may be located.
Projects should showcase the general urban design principles and livability criteria espoused by IMCL, and should contain high-quality graphics and award-worthy content. Submissions should include the application form, statement of project philosophy/design criteria, photos, exhibit boards and application fee.
The competition is held in conjunction with the 54th International Making Cities Livable Conference to be held in Sante Fe, New Mexico, October 2–6, 2017.
