APA Staff News: May 2017

APA is happy to introduce two new staff members who are headquartered in Chicago.

    Christine Ott

    Christine provides the primary staff support for the APA Foundation and works closely with the Foundation Board of Directors and CEO James Drinan. She brings strong fundraising and relationship-building experience to APA and her expertise will benefit our strategic partnerships and research grant activities. She holds a BA in Communications and a Master of Arts in Business from the University of Wisconsin.

    Christine’s career spans 20 years as a nonprofit fundraising and marketing executive, private banker and volunteer board member. She most recently served as Director of Principal Gifts for Loyola University Chicago. Previously, Christine was Vice President in the Private Bank at JP Morgan and held marketing leadership roles at Feeding America, Golin, and the Field Museum.

    Christine serves on the Women's Boards of the Joffrey Ballet and Field Museum, and is active in many cultural and social organizations. A pianist and singer, Christine sings with the Holy Name Cathedral Gallery Singers.

  • Software developer

    Tim Johnson

    Tim Johnson has been hired as APA’s Software Developer. A familiar face around APA, he has been assisting us with website and app development for over a year, Tim worked on the 2016 launch of our new website and on other projects that include the AICP exam application, consultant directory, and APA NPC17 app. Prior to his time at APA, Tim worked on a variety of freelance software development projects, accumulating more than 15 years of technical experience.

    Tim is a musician and composer, with bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Music Composition. He is also an educator and is currently an adjunct faculty member at Roosevelt University, where he teaches a course on computer music.
