Planning professionals can register for the National Brownfields Training Conference, to be held December 5–7, 2017, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh.
Co-sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), this event is offered every two years, bringing together professionals in planning, environment, economic development, community development, government contractors, local and federal leaders, attorneys, construction professionals, and any professional with an interest in cleaning up and reusing formerly utilized commercial and industrial properties.
With more than 100 educational sessions planned, there will be plenty of opportunities to discuss new practices, share success stories and stimulate new ideas. Mobile workshops will give participants the opportunity to visit area brownfields sites firsthand.
The exhibit hall will feature nearly 150 booths housing federal agencies, engineering firms, developers, and environmental agencies. The conference is geared toward both beginners and seasoned professionals.
