I enjoyed the creativity expressed in the session, especially in the interactive portions of the program. I do think the concept needs to be tied a bit closer to specific design of particular projects, so this process of super creativity can be incorporated into the development regulation process. Perhaps this could be a follow-up focus for another session.

This session provided some good examples of measures to be added to the regulatory schemes to create affordable housing supply. Some case studies were a bit complex, but useful to the discussion.

Stevens had a good grip on the mechanics of financing and project funding approaches. This session gave me a bit more insight into the difficulties of putting a project together that can truly be sustainable.

This provided a good approach for communities to pursue if they have the resources and commitment to take control of these sites; however, more emphasis on influencing the redevelopment of privately held sites could be more useful to most planners in small rural towns in Connecticut.
