Atlanta, GA, United States
The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is the regional planning and intergovernmental coordination agency for the metro Atlanta area including 10 core counties, the City of Atlanta, and more than 60 other cities. ARC serves the region's citizens and local governments through research, planning, technical assistance, and implementation on matters involving transportation; community and economic development; housing; natural resources; workforce development; aging and health; and cross-jurisdictional coordination. The Community Planning Academy (CPA) is an ARC program, begun in 2002, that offers high-quality, cost-effective training and workshops to local government planners, local elected officials, non-profits and others. CPA provides planners and leaders in the region with tools to make thoughtful, informed decisions regarding the future of their communities and constituencies.
