Facing the Challenges of Plan Implementation

Planning efforts, such as community visioning, municipal comprehensive plans and organizational strategic plans, can be used by communities and organizations to evaluate their current and projected conditions and prepare for their future. The ultimate goal of these plans is the implementation of the recommendations and policies that were developed during their creation. However, following through on actions plans and policies can prove challenging. This session covers issues and barriers that can be faced in plan implementation as well as means by which these barriers can be addressed.
