Washington, DC

Free event

As part of the SHRP2 Tuesdays Webinar Series, TRB will conduct a webinar on November 19, 2013 from 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. ET that will explore two SHRP 2 projects relating to Economic Impact Analysis: Interactions Between Transportation Capacity, Economic Systems, and Land Use (C03) and Development of Tools for Assessing Wider Economic Benefits of Transportation (C11).

There is no fee to attend this webinar and other webinars in the SHRP 2 Series; however, participants must register in advance. A certificate for 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH) will be provided to attendees who register and attend the webinar as an individual. This webinar is pending approval by the American Institute of Certified Planners for 1.5 Certification Maintenance Credits.

This webinar describes the SHRP 2 Economic Impact Tools, which can help planners make comprehensive and realistic assessments of the economic impacts of transportation investments and highway capacity projects. Specifically, the tools assist with estimating improvements that support economic vitality through better access to markets, improved travel time reliability, and reliable intermodal connectivity—all of which can lead to credible and supportable decisions in the agreement process.

Webinar Presenters:
Stefan Natzke, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)
Matt Hardy, American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO)
Glen Weisbrod, Economic Development Research Group, Inc. (EDR Group)
Adam Winston, Economic Development Research Group, Inc. (EDR Group)
Moderated by: Stephen Andrle, Transportation Research Board

Webinar Outline:
