The multiple speakers were very well-coordinated. Some good ideas were offered for engaging disparate groups. They made a strong case for active outreach...going to them and going often. They underscored what many such presentations say about building relationships as being key.

Not only did the presentation answer a lot of questions about engaging marginalized populations and culture gaps; it reminded us of additional ways we could reach out to the general public and encourage broader participation in the planning process. I also especially liked the graphics for this presentation - very well done!

Lots of interesting information about accommodating non-english speakers. Also, good information about how cultural differences can be a big barrier to citizen participation.

I loved this discussion and was pleasantly surprised to find that there were planners that were thoughtfully and sensitively planning in multi-cultural communities in the U.S. Wonderful speakers, too.
