  • Why certain coastal conditions will likely engender future migrations along the Louisiana coast, as well as coastal environments around the country and world
  • Strategies to bolster economic and cultural sustainability

MORE SESSION DETAILS

Isle de Jean Charles is expected to completely disappear within the next 50 years or upon the next significant tropical impact. Learn how its residents, with help from the State of Louisiana, are planning a more viable future in a new location 40 miles north of the island. First explore the existing Isle de Jean Charles, a coastal island community in remote Terrebonne Parish. Then tour the new resettlement location and view the progress to date.
