The EcoDistrict protocols and the Environmental Justice Academy precepts provide a unique approach to revitalizing our most challenged communities. Hear from professionals representing governmental, private, and nonprofit organizations; academia; and Environmental Justice Academy graduates. Explore a road map for integrating Environmental Justice Academy precepts and Ecodistrict priorities of place, prosperity, health and well-being, connectivity, living infrastructure, and resource regeneration. Learn how these precepts and priorities have successfully merged to build effective coalitions of diverse stakeholders and organizations to revitalize neighborhoods. This session will cover how to develop effective strategies for revitalization planning and implementation, focusing on how the Environmental Justice Academy teaches developmental approaches to viable community planning and implementation and how EcoDistrict protocols ensure meaningful community stakeholder engagement; advance desirable outcomes; and promote healthy, resilient, sustainable communities.
