A decade after San Francisco’s Central Waterfront Plan reframed the vision for the city’s industrial core, the Central Waterfront remains a center of the city’s design and fabrication industries but is also emerging as a dynamic, mixed-use neighborhood. This tour highlights changes in land use and built form, especially how old and new urban fabrics are stitched together with the area's cultural and historical heritage. In conversation with design, planning, and development professionals, tour new infill projects, public spaces, emerging mega-projects at Pier 70 and Potrero Power Station, and creative/industrial businesses that make this district unique.
