Various Special Area Studies
Town of Addison
Addison, TX
PROJECT UNDERSTANDING:
The Town of Addison 's Comprehensive Plan (the Plan) calls for completion of a number of in-depth Special Studies for areas where the City Council believes that the current uses and development pattern may no longer be appropriate. The Plan prescribes that these studies include planning, design, and economic consultants, along with citizens, property owners, and Town staff. The studies should consider the assets and detriments those properties would face in converting to another use, and should propose new uses, design solutions and economic analysis to test possible development scenarios.
The Town intends to conduct two special area studies per fiscal year. The Town is seeking to prequalify a number of professional service providers that could then be selected to prepare studies and/or plans providing the Town with information, analysis and strategic direction regarding the uses and future development opportunities for the various study areas.
SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED:
The Town is soliciting Statements of Qualifications for Professional Services Provider (PSP), from teams with the capability and experience to integrate planning practices and proactively engage residents and interested stakeholders in these Special Studies. The proposed technical staff should be composed of experienced certified planners (AICPs) with multi-disciplinary backgrounds that includes, but not limited to land use planning, neighborhood planning, project implementation, land development regulations, comprehensive planning, transportation planning, architecture, and economic/market analysis.
