The Miami Downtown Development Authority is now accepting proposals (ftp://bitftp.miamidda.com/) until 5pm on Friday, July 21, 2017 for qualified firms, or team of firms, to develop a unifying element and brand identity for the Miami Baywalk-Riverwalk. Currently, a disconnected and underutilized asset on the Biscayne Bay and Miami River, the intent of this RFP is to create a long-term vision for our community of 5 million residents and our 14 million annual visitors for what this waterfront promenade can ultimately become. Successful bidders who choose to take advantage of this transformational opportunity will incorporate the following principles into their proposals: celebrate the waterfront; leverage Downtown Miami’s historic, cultural and economic strengths; create a seamless trail; balance community values and mobility needs; promote livability; provide access for all to the waterfront; promote resiliency and sustainability; convey a commitment to excellence through beauty; engage all senses; and consider the durability and long-term maintenance of materials. An optional pre-bid conference call will be held at 1pm EST on Friday, June 23 by calling 1-866-658-3987and using the Conference ID: 066568. The pre-bid meeting will be recorded and the questions and answers will be posted on our website within 48 business hours from the date of the call. In the meantime, should you have any questions regarding this RFP, please submit your question in writing by emailing planning@miamidda.com. All questions and answers will be published on the Miami DDA Website until July 14. After that time, no questions will be answered.
