Pitt County, North Carolina is seeking a qualified and experienced consulting firm to assist with the preparation of a Southwest Bypass Corridor Land Use Plan. The plan will be a cooperative effort between Pitt County, the Greenville Urban Area MPO, the City of Greenville, the Towns of Ayden and Winterville, and the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). Pitt County and its municipal partners have continued to experience tremendous growth, and the Southwest Bypass has become a necessity to alleviate congestion and improve regional travel times. The Bypass will present many development opportunities, particularly at major interchanges along the corridor. The intent of the land use plan is to ensure that future development is managed appropriately and is compatible with the long term plans for growth and development of the County and municipalities along the corridor.
