The Chicago Park District ("CPD") seeks the services of a diverse and qualified consultant team to prepare design and bid documents to rehabilitate lost features of the historic Midway Plaisance landscape while also enhancing the site for recreation use.

At a minimum, the project scope should include design, construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration for: A new universally-accessible play area; Re-introduction of historically significant landscape features including spatial patterns, grade modifications, pathway connections, and plantings; and, Improvements for stormwater management.

This scope of work will satisfy efforts to mitigate for impacts of the construction of the Obama Presidential Center in Jackson Park that were identified through review of the project under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. All work is required to be performed in compliance with the Section 106 Memorandum of Agreement and the UPARR Amendment.
