Oklahoma City Urban Renewal Authority

Oklahoma City, OK

OCURA is seeking proposals to redevelop vacant property in Northeast Oklahoma City with two open RFPs. Please visit https://www.theallianceokc.org/current-rfps or https://www.ocura-ok.org/rfps to download and view the full RFP details for each.

NE 16th Street & N Martin Luther King Blvd

NE 23rd Street & N Prospect Ave

The properties offered by OCURA are located in the John F. Kennedy (JFK) Urban Renewal Plan Project Area. OCURA is offering these properties for mixed-use or commercial redevelopment that will contribute to the continued efforts to revitalize the Project Area, the NE 23rd Street commercial corridor and adjacent neighborhoods. OCURA is interested in a creative, infill proposal that can serve as an example of the redevelopment potential for the many scattered site opportunities in Northeast Oklahoma City.

This sites represent a tremendous market opportunity given their close proximity to a local and regional highway network; the Innovation District; the Oklahoma Health Center — a 325 acre bioscience campus to the southwest; OSU Discovery — a research, development and education facility with partnership between Baker Hughes and Oklahoma State University; the city's central business district; and the Oklahoma State Capitol campus.

The proposed redevelopment should reflect urban design formats that differ from commercial strip center and pad site land-use patterns along most of the corridor. OCURA will work with the selected Redeveloper on site planning through a design review process.
