Green Infrastructure: Community Development & Energy Resources National, regional and local perspectives on green infrastructure will be provided, including the Green Power Partnership, a national voluntary renewable electricity purchasing program of the US EPA; Babcock Ranch in Charlotte County, FL, as the first city to provide for its energy needs from the sun via the largest solar photovoltaic energy facility generating system powering any city in the world. Combined with Smart Grid technology, this community will be a “living laboratory” for energy efficiency and green living.
