Transit agencies consistently face the challenge of developing and implementing service improvements with the involvement of communities and mixed land use service areas. New land development projects may provide opportunities through local government growth management practices while existing development may require outreach efforts to bring together stakeholders to address the design and funding of mobility services. The notion of developing ready to go service improvement business plans bring together a number of transit agency functions to include Planning, Operations, Finance, Facilities and Marketing. This session will provide real world experiences to address: 1. Defining and planning service development opportunities, 2. Developer and Stakeholder Involvement in service design process 3. Packaging the service plan in the form of a business plan to include funding 4. “Selling” the plan to decision-makers and stakeholders 5. Branding and Implementing the service and associated facilities
