The private sector plays an important role in communities but most mitigation outreach efforts focus on government or residential structures. By extending mitigation outreach efforts to businesses, communities can become more disaster resilient. In addition, proactive business owners can reduce impacts or avoid damages altogether simply by mitigating. This workshop will identify successful private sector mitigation projects, outreach approaches and established community programs.
