participants to resources, best practices, and

 

examples of planning for healthy communities.

 

 

 

Description: Planners today face a myriad of challenges. These

 

 

 

 

include accommodating the needs of aging and diversifying

 

communities and guiding development in a way that promotes

 

sustainability, inclusiveness, health, and fiscal responsibility.

 

Planning for healthy communities is strategy to meet these

 

challenges. This session will cover the role of a statewide

 

partnership, emerging research on impacts and best practices,

 

and local examples of planning for healthy communities.
