Course Description: Long-term drought, climate change, and environmental regulations are threatening local and imported water supplies. How are our regional water districts reacting?
The Takeaway: Students will learn how regional agencies and districts are bracing for continued drought by increasing rates, recycling water, conservation and/or desalination; and other CA coastal communities' struggles with activating their own plants. Finally, students will understand how new development is still being proposed, and approved, in light of the drought.
