This workshop will discuss recent changes in the way we approach transportation in our community and will involve discussions focusing on how innovation in transportation and complementing planning standards can help facilitate the development of workforce housing. The workshop will provide a discussion of CEQA and VMT. We will provide examples of recent developments that that took advantage of reduced parking standards. Are decreased parking standard enough? Do we need to go further in our planning standards and approach?

The workshop will also include exploration of innovative solutions such as car share programs and how these programs could be adopted in our community and used to the benefit of workforce housing projects.
