Overview

The purpose of this session is to learn from counties who have developed long-range planning efforts. The session will review best practices from counties around Texas who have developed comprehensive plans, transportation plans, zoning regulations, CIP programs, and population projections. Each case study will tie back to the role the counties and cities share in making livable communities. Attendees will learn how the county initiated and funded the projects, how each project helped the county, how each project was developed, and how the cities played a role.
