The program highlights the ambitious geographic scope; extensive public outreac; historic structural challenges, adn innovative findings of the first Vision Study for Delaware Canal State Park/National Landmark. Engineers, architects, planners and environmental professionals will engage in discussions of historic, structural, revenue-generating, and stormwater opportunities for Delaware Canal partnerships.

William Collins is a registered landscape architect and VP of Simone Collins Landscape Architecture in Norristown, PA. For 26 years, Simone Collins has led greenways,parks, trails planning/design projects for non-profits, municipalities, counties, and the PA DCNR.Bill servedthe D&L as principal/author of the Delaware Canal Vision Studyand team leader for a preliminary stormwater management study of the Delaware Canal. Bill specializes in historic industrial landscapes including:bridges, mills, canals, railroads, factories and farms. His projects have received 22 national/state/local awards, including:First Place National Timber Bridge and National ASLA/Rails-to-Trails Awardsfor the Tohickon Aqueduct on the Delaware Canal –anearly example of sustainability that synthesized modern timber structural materials withina traditional Burr Arch truss system.
