Overview

 

The Hawaiian Island Land Trust is working to preserve special places by creating dynamic partnerships between residents, government, and landowners.  This presentation will include an overview of a powerful tool – the conservation easement.  This will cover easement transactions, including review of federal and state enabling statutes, characteristics of conservation easements, IRS guidance regarding donations and appraisal requirements.
