There’s a reason horror stories don’t begin with the words “in a well-lit driveway,” and that’s the principle that guides CPTED. Attendees at this workshop will learn basic design features that can attract or deter crime. They will also learn simple, inexpensive design mitigation techniques to reduce the threat of crime in homes and neighborhoods.


Planning-related educational objective:

Attendees will learn CPTED principles, how it is used to deter and displace crime, and techniques used to make a home and neighborhood safer.
