Description: According to the American Planning Association the need for leadership on comprehensive approaches to sustainability planning is growing. The built environment is one of several critical systems that create the foundation of a sustainable community.  In this session you will discuss with Arizona sustainability professionals the framework of a sustainable community and take a deeper dive into the connectivity of systems.  You will explore the role that planning has in supporting a more resilient community and identify decision-making criteria that extends beyond code and plans.
