Overview

Description: A discussion of alternate land division processes in Kansas. Douglas County and Topeka have both adopted alternate methods (Certificate of Survey and “minor” plats). Learn from Topeka and Douglas County’s experiences including how the alternative methods were developed and their unintended consequences.  We will also show various other types of alternative land divisions that are used elsewhere and invite the audience to discuss the various methods and brainstorm other alternatives.
