The session will begin with the review the process that has been established in the Centre Region to ensure that bicyclists and pedestrians are considered in the planning stages of major transportation projects.  Information will also be provide on regional bike and motorist education efforts.


The session will continue with the discussion of a regional connections planning study for East Pennsboro Township which has substandard pedestrian facilities resulting in a disconnected municipality.  The Township investigated opportunities to improve connections, while facing challenges.


The session will finish with a review of an Intersection Realignment project which was a collaborative effort with the key stakeholders of the area who were most likely to move implementation forward within a 5-12 year period.
