Overview

Systems thinking is a way to approach issues that looks at how various elements within a system - which could be an ecosystem, an organization, or something more dispersed as the Allied Health rural health system iBook map discussed today. The advantage of a dynamic system approach is that the models have the ability to capture elements within a system that influence one another. Rather than reacting to individual or isolated issues, a systems thinker will ask about relationships to activities within the system and patterns over time. Participants will conduct a brief hands-on mapping exercise.
