Overview

JTA’s Mobility Corridor Initiative was included as part of the JTAMobilityWorks $100 million road program established with the extension of the six-cent local option gas tax. JTA was able to set aside $15 million to address transit access and develop plans to improve multimodal transportation options. Funding was specifically dedicated to high frequency transit corridors identified under the Route Optimization Initiative. Funding was split between Transit Enhancements and Complete Streets.  Additional improvements are being made through the First Coast Flyer Bus Rapid Transit program. This session will demonstrate how JTA has utilized its role as a multimodal transportation provider and built partnerships to address first and last mile connectivity as well as bring bus stops into compliance with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
