This session addresses the rapid advent and use of technology in the transit industry, and helps transit managers and planners understand the impacts of resulting changes to services, markets, finances, and customer expectations. This discussion focuses on how advances in technology creates opportunities for significantly improved service delivery and service quality in response to customer demand, but also creates a series of pitfalls to recognize and avoid. Understanding these changes and how to manage change is essential to every transit agency.
