As planners and planning officials in the state of Kentucky we may feel that KRS Chapter 100 provides the beginning and the end of the law that we should be familiar with. The session will explore other statutes, laws and regulations that impact land use and the practice of planning in Kentucky. Special emphasis will be placed on open records/meetings law with mention of floodplain regulations, water management regulations and others. Time will be reserved at the end of the session for questions and answers for these and other law related topics (including KRS 100 related topics!).
This session will prepare planning official and professional planners to identify legal issues and disparate are of he law that may affect the their practice of land use regulation and control in the State of Kentucky.
