Overview

A presentation of the 2016-17 "Ethics Case of the Year." The AICP Ethics Committee created the case for use in continuing education for ethics training. This year's Case of the Year includes real-life case studies, drawn from those reviewed by the committee during the previous year. Following a brief introduction of recent news regarding planning ethics, the presenters will review up to eight distinctive ethical scenarios, posing questions for the audience to answer, and discussing the issues that are raised.

Objectives:

1) To fulfill the biennial requirement for a professional (AICP) planner's required ethics training.

2) To provide a basic review of the "Code of Ethics" and the "Ethical Principals" for Appointed and Elected Officials.
