MCMWTC Bridgeport's vision for developing resiliency occurs in four phases. In the first two phases (Crawl, Walk), Bridgeport will develop monitoring of building and utility systems to support grid stability, system optimization, and energy management. This near-term phase addresses the immediate goal of enhancing power quality with a combination of solar PV, generator and SCE power sources and energy storage to support the Bridgeport grid. The performance of systems will be monitored at the building and utility level to understand renewable and non-renewable power contributions to the grid and to identify where maintenance may be required to avoid system failures. The last two phases (run, fly) provide a UFC 4-010-06 compliant platform enclave that monitors, controls, analyzes and applies edge technologies at the building and utility levels. Building and utility systems will be monitored and controlled to support a new mission, and meet energy management and net zero goals.
