Overview

Carol Shull recently retired as the Keeper of the National Register of Historic Places, a division of the National Park Service. In this capacity she has been responsible for determining the eligibility of thousands of historic resources for inclusion on the NR--which now numbers over a million resources. Along the way, Carol has seen firsthand the overwhelmingly positive role that the NRHP has played in communities across the country. Cathy O'Connor, President and CEO of The Alliance for Economic Development of Oklahoma City will address the plenary session of the role that historic preservation has played in Oklahoma City's Renaissance
