Overview

Film screening and facilitated Q&A of the documentary film“Another Way of Living, the Story of Reston, VA.” This documentary is about the perception of the urban planner Robert Simon (1914-2015) and his vision suburban towns that integrates citizens across racial, economic, and religious divides. The film was officially selected for the 2015 Virginia Film Festival and the 2016 Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital. Reston, VA has been recognized as a National Planning Landmark by the American Planning Association.

A facilitated Q&A hosted by the APA’s Urban Design & Preservation Division with the Director/Producer, Rebekah Wingert-Jabi, will immediately follow the film.
