Overview

You'll learn about:

  • A range of ethical scenarios, useful for both public and private planners, based on the most challenging ones received by the AICP Ethics Committee during the previous year

  • The ethical obligations of the "Code of Ethics," as well as the "Ethical Principles" for non-professional planners, including elected and appointed officials and board members.

  • The types of ethical issues most commonly faced by planners and public officials.

  • To provide an opportunity for audience members to respond to specific questions raised by these common ethical scenarios.

A presentation of the 2017-18 "Ethics Case of the Year" by the Chapter's Professional Development Officer. This year's Case of the Year includes real-life case studies, drawn from those reviewed by the committee during the previous year.
