Friday, September 8, 2017
10 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. EDT
How successful will your community be in addressing today's complex urban problems, such as, sustainability, water supply congestion and failing infrastructure? Will a "Smart City" approach help provide needed solutions? What is a "Smart City" and how does a city become one? Is your city ready for Big Data and the Internet of Things (IoT)? The "Smart City" concept is appealing and progressively emerging as the direction to follow for urban development. This session will provide information on the meaning of the term, "Smart City," and what's needed to set a course to become a "Smart City." Presented by APA Florida's Emerging Topics Committee
