Impact of Changing Demographics on School Planning

This panel will review the impact of changing demographics on school planning, including changes in median age, growth rate, charter schools, virtual schools, and funding options, among others. It will include a review of key economic and demographic variables that affect school planning and funding and provide case study examples from communities with different characteristics. Our panel will discuss case study examples of how each District approaches its planning process, key variables considered, what changes they had to address, lessons learned, and successful and not-so-successful outcomes.
