Overview

“Designing the Spaces In Between” will focus on elegant solutions found in often forgotten spaces. Through case studies from Louisville and Lexington, we will present a series of unique projects highlighting: planning and design processes, unique funding, and the public-private partnerships it took to reinvent spaces that have been overlooked for decades. Planning objectives include; finding opportunities in overlooked spaces, getting partners to the table, context sensitive design process, and planning for action.  We will discuss, though the case studies, steps taken to ensure the project makes it from idea to reality.
