Overview

The Waikiki Improvement Association's mission is, "to improve, enrich and beautify Waikiki… and to promote conditions conducive to the economic and cultural good and for the betterment of the entire community."  Recently, it has taken its mission to a new level, advocating for updated regulations and highlighting social issues in the economic breadbasket of Hawaii.  It has led the movement towards a long-term solution to beach erosion through an improvement district and is developing a Waikiki transportation management framework in coordination with the City.  Rick Egged, as its executive director, will share these new initiatives.
