Lucas County, Ohio - Pilot Project for the Independent Quality Engineer
This first-of-a-kind delivery method for construction Quality Control and Quality Assurance service functions within a
construction contract to achieve project quality more efficiently and cost effectively. TTL Associates, Inc. was hired by
Kokosing Construction Company (KCC) as the Independent Quality Engineer (IQE) for Ohio Department of Transportation
for QA work typically completed by ODOT staff or ODOT-hired consultants.
Delivering Michigan's first Public-Private Partnership (P3)
The Metro Region Freeway Lighting P3 project and a Design-Build-Finance-Own-Operate (DBFOM) and the first of its
kind in the U.S. and other states are using it as the benchmark for future lighting projects. This session will provide a brief
overview of the project, a national and international perspective on projects, before and after videos and an update on
how things are progressing on this 15 year contract.
Historic Winona Truss Bridge Rehabilitation
MnDOT's first use of the Construction Manager/General Contractor, CMGC, project delivery method for the rehabilitation
of an existing bridge. The truss bridge repairs and strengthening is one of the most technically challenging bridge
rehabilitations ever undertaken in the State of Minnesota.
