Getting more affordable and workforce housing built requires new approaches in design, finance, partnerships, use of public lands, policies, and zoning. This session will explore how planners are developing and implementing new policies. Topics include Hawaii Community Development Authority’s (HCDA) updated Reserved Housing Rules, the City and County of Honolulu’s proposed inclusionary housing policies and financial incentives, and the new accessory dwelling unit and incentives program.
