Overview

This session will discuss the process by which public and private partnerships were formed in order to restore local tree canopies. Trees Columbus has been at the forefront of this initiative and will share with participants the obstacles, benefits, and impact of this ongoing project.

Dorothy McDaniel

As the Executive Director of Trees Columbus, Dorothy has accomplished several initiatives including tree canopy restoration, local planting, and tree planting education to middle and elementary school students. Dorothy obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her graduate degree from the University of Georgia. Read More

George Barker is President of Natural Resource Consulting, Inc. He has been in practice as an arborist for 28 years. He is an ISA Certified Arborist, Tree Risk Assessor Qualified, an Alabama Registered Forester, and an SAF Certified Forester. Read More
