Overview

Attendees will learn best practices for MPO internal operations from Broward MPO's efforts to achieve greater organizational effectiveness by setting goals and monitoring progress on factors that relate to the MPO’s performance and their outreach to mentor the next generation of transportation professionals as they face what some call the Silver Tsunami, baby boomers retiring without fresh faces to replace them.  Attendees will also hear from the CUTR on their findings from conducting the MPOAC Institute for Elected Officials since 2007 and their report for FHWA/FTA focusing on MPO staffing and organizational structures.
